Fire The fire pagers
went off around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, January 19th in
Maquoketa. No one anticipated such an event, but
it has been imbedded into the memory of many. "Thank
You" for assisting us in our time of need.

29th dance at 8:00 p.m. at the Jackson County fairgrounds,
honoring the firemen who assisted in fighting the fire

Watch!
Residents of Maquoketa were urged to conserve water early
Saturday morning. The demand for water had dropped the
water towers levels more than 15 feet in five hours. The city's
water plant flow was recorded at 1.3 million
gallons on the 19th and 1.4 million gallons on January 20th.
