Welcome
to Public Works
Our job is to maintain City Streets, all City Parks,
City Airport and all City Buildings and property. Public Works also
provides street cleaning and flood control when river is high within
its boundaries. The Public Works Department also provides maintenance
for all City ball diamonds and maintenance service for more than
75 pieces of equipment.
Hours
Public Works regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30
p.m. Our office and shop is located at 606 N. Main Street (next
to Maquoketa Electrical Power Plant). Our working hours telephone
number is 563-652- 4628. Public Works Director, Dave Popp
and his staff operating hours are 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. After hours someone is always on call,
that phone number can be received from the Police Station at 563-652-
2468.

Leaf Pick-up 2003 Continues
Weather Permitting - the City Leaf Pick-up Schedule for the
West Half of the City is November 17-20 (do not put the
leaves in the street before November 16th.) Leaf
Pick-up for Platt Street and Main Street will be November
24th. Platt Street residents are to place leaves along the
curb on the grass not in the street. Main Street
residents are asked to place the leaves on the street.
