Building

The Building Department is dedicated to multiple goals:

1. Adherence to safe building principles and compliance with City Code
2. Property code enforcement and acting upon property neglect
3. Planning for Maquoketa's future growth via Planning & Zoning

Through these main goals, the Building Department is committed to following up on complaints, initiating compliance on problematic property, and processing required permits. Inspectors Brad Koranda and Scott Wirth can both be contacted at inspector@maquoketaia.com.

Regular hours of operation for the Building Department are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
