The City of Maquoketa is host to one of Andrew Carnegie's original library projects. The Library opened in 1904 and is one of Maquoketa's hidden treasures. Be sure to check out the new interior of the facility and appreciate the local history of Jackson County in the archives. The City and Library Board have done an excellent job mainting the structure and intention of Andrew Carnegie's vision when funding libraries across the globe!
