Civil Service Commission
The Civil Service Commission oversees the selection and promotion of sworn officers for the Maquoketa Police Department. The purpose is to gather public input on the City's Police Officers and make good choices on behalf of the community.
Commission members (3) are recommended by the Mayor and appointed by the Council's vote. Each term is 6 years. Present members:
