In late 2022, the City of Maquoketa competitively bid and contracted with WHKS Engineering in order to independently form a data-backed Street improvement plan for the City. The project was formed in order to put priority steps in place to address degraded roadways and maximize City resources as a larger focus on local and residential roadways begins after the conclusion of Platt Street Re-Construction.
